Washington Butler Born from Puyallup Washington State, became attracted to the arts as a child. She sang in choirs, competed in singing contests as well as appeared in the local and high school theatre. After moving from Los Angeles, she studied theater in The University of Southern California and performed as Belle the princess on the stage in Beauty and the Beast at Disneyland for a year and an entire quarter. Her departure from college was to seek out an agent. Then she began doing auditions and appearing on TV and film. Although initially she was not a fan of the film's brutality and sexual violence, she came to accept the feminist nature of the plot and powerful characters. Butler played Jennifer Hills who, after being viciously assaulted inside a cabin in the forest and then gang-raped, seeks revenge on the perpetrators. Steven R. Butler began shooting the psychological thriller The Stranger Within alongside Estella Warren and William Baldwin in Mallorca Spain in November 2011.
